Staying Up Late

One of my favorite DC spots is Busboys and Poets...and now they've opened a new location just 5 minutes away from my home! This past week Mr. Wy has been staying with his grandparents (from Kansas) all day at home (!!!) so we decided to take him out on Tuesday PAST HIS BEDTIME. I know, the child is almost 14 months but I've been obsessed with his sleep schedule. No longer. Our big night out consisted of getting frozen yogurt and stopping by the new Busboys and Poets. It was a perfect evening.

P.S. I'm getting a present in the mail today...a new camera lens for portrait shots! Hopefully we will all see some improvement in my photos. I CAN'T WAIT!

Lemonade Stand

I remember almost every lemonade/kool aide stand I had as a kid. They are precious memories... Over July 4th I spent time with my nieces and nephews as they put up their lemonade stand in my parents backyard. Of course, the only traffic they had was me, Tim, my mom...and hmm...I don't know who else--but I bet they had a great time. I miss being a kid.

Princess Birthday

A couple weeks ago, I celebrated my niece's 4th Birthday. This 4 year old wanted a 'princess party' with a lemon poppyseed and pink icing cake. Briana got to celebrate with all her Wink cousins/aunts/uncle and grandma at an organic farm in Winchester, VA. We ate cake, took a hayride and saw lots of farm animals. (which was fun for me and Tim as we read "Barnyard Dance" to Mr. Wy every night)

Stephanie's Baby Shower

My sweet friend from Cheverly, Stephanie, had her baby shower last Saturday and I brought my camera with me :) She was incredibly beautiful and the food spread was lovely. It made for fun pictures!
