Dad and His Guitar

It wouldn't be a family gathering without my Dad bringing out his guitar. He loves to sing and play--and honestly, he is really good. This year Wyatt sat at the table and was able to sing "Silent Night" with us. It was beautiful. Thank you Dad, for loving us through your music

Beautiful Christmas

Of course, my mother made Christmas so special and lovely. We really enjoyed our time away at their log home in the snow.  Highlights included: snowing on Christmas day, enjoying tons of dairy free and gluten free food (including cut out white cookies), spending time with my boys, watching Wyatt get excited about Jesus' birthday and Santa bringing gifts, receiving my great grandmother's silver, taking a beautiful walk in the woods, singing Christmas songs while my dad played the guitar, and sledding down my parents backyard. It was a beautiful Christmas.

Our Weekend in Photos

Tim and I have entered a busy season. I was promoted at work and we lost one staff member. That has meant a lot of new work for me. Because of that, I haven't picked up my camera in a while. Sorry for the absence. I decided this weekend must be different. It's been restful and yet busy at the same time. (life as a mom, huh?) Tim and I went to Handel's Messiah at the National Cathedral and it was incredible. It's my favorite DC Christmas tradition. Afterwards Tim took me to a really good French restaurant. We've been working on potty training and just enjoying life with Weston. And besides that, I'm battling strep for the second time in 4 months. My body must be worn down.
Hope to have more posts of Christmas activities soon!
